Winds of Exile...

It's been awhile since I have had the time and energy to return to Mercy Magnified.  In revisiting my last entry, from March 22, it reads for me as a page from the distant past!  So much has transpired...and continues to unfold at a shocking rate.  

On March 23 we flew to 'The States'...our first return trip since arriving in Orkney last November.  It would not take long to realize that we were now 'aliens and strangers' in our former homeland.  Our house is inhabited by others, so our daughter Kate and her husband Richard graciously welcomed us into their home.  Theodore, Kate's poodle (and Maggie's best friend) welcomed us with unashamed joy!  His wild leaping and crying touched me deeply...That silly, smart little creature freely expressed what we all felt, but have been conditioned to contain.  Lord, free our hearts to be more like Ted!

Jet lag proved to be my friend those first few days...allowing me time alone early in the morning for prayer and study.  First Peter captured my attention...his letter to:

"The Elect"
"Strangers in the World"
"Scattered"

As I let this sink in, I heard the Spirit impressing on me:  "He who has an ear, let him hear!" 
 I read on, and  1 Peter 1:10 hit me like a sudden blast of cold wind:

"The prophets who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, SEARCHED INTENTLY AND WITH GREATEST CARE, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing...it was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but YOU, when they spoke of the things that have now been told to you...
                             THEREFORE, PREPARE YOUR MINDS FOR ACTION!!!"

I began to wonder, 'Where are the prophets today?  Who is 'searching intently to find out the time and circumstances to which Christ is pointing???'

I realized that the church in the west has been lulled to sleep!  We have been entertained to death, and as a result, view the news with a detached sense of marginal interest. Many Christians are not taking note that fulfillment of prophecies regarding the last days are unfolding NOW, before our eyes!   It is time to WAKE UP OUT OF OUR SLUMBER and SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES INTENTLY!  We must PREPARE OUR MINDS FOR ACTION!

Here are a few of the signs/fulfillments we are seeing:
     *False teaching and apostasy
     *Increase in violence and lawlessness
     *Wars and rumors of wars
     *People being martyred because of their faith in Jesus
     *Earthquakes and famines
     *The love of many growing cold (Lord, help us!)
     *Death of the Pacific Ocean (See Hosea 4, Revelation 8:9) due to Fukushima

In Addition, there are disturbing and significant events in the U.S.:
     *The number of babies aborted has now reached over 61 million
     *Drought in the west (one of the first indicators of judgment)
     *It appears she now is ruled by a dictator, not a president
     *She has forsaken Israel, the apple of God's eye (judgment guaranteed)
     *She leaked Israel's nuclear secrets to the enemy
     *She signed a deal with Iran, who has declared intent to destroy Israel and the U.S.
     *The Department of Homeland Security has declared that 'sovereign citizens'
      (conservatives) are the greatest threat to American society (March 2015)
     *Provision has been made to house large numbers of citizen in camps
     *Joint Military services, along with U.N. representatives, will be conducting the largest
      exercise ever held on U.S. soil.  "Operation Jade Helm" 
     FACTS:
            -July 15 to Sept. 15, 2015
            -11 pm to 4:00 am
            -In California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas
            -Many participants will be in plain clothes, so they are not obvious to citizens
            -They will be rehearsing "Red List Extraction Drill"...rounding up dissident

There are many who believe that this is a rehearsal for declaring Martial Law!

Henry and I are beginning to understand why the Lord moved us to take the agonizing step of obedience and leave the country.  Having been born in post WWII Germany, Henry is particularly attuned to what we are seeing...it bears an eerie resemblance to  familiar, dark history!  We are now consumed with deep concern for those we love who remain in the U.S...
If you share our concern, please read Revelation 17-18, Isaiah 13, 21, Jeremiah 50-51...

"The noise of battle is in the land, and great destruction!  How the hammer of the whole earth is cut down and broken!  How Babylon has become a horror among the nations!"

The handwriting is on the wall.  God's people have been warned, "COME OUT OF HER!  FLEE!  RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!  Prepare your minds for ACTION!!! 

I realized more than ever that our focus must remain on what is unseen and eternal. The satchel of my heart returned to Orkney stuffed with snapshots of precious time with those I love...Tears were plentiful when Drew left me at the airport.  Love is costly!

Jesus demonstrated His love for us when He paid the ultimate price on the cross.  There is no glory for Him when those He has redeemed are swept away in the judgment of the wicked.  The trumpet has sounded.  Today, if you hear His voice, DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEART!
