"I will praise You in the morning,
And when the evening comes...
And when the evening comes...
Your faithfulness rises in the darkest night
Your glory before the dawn..."
Your glory before the dawn..."
I am at a loss for words at the moment, but overwhelmed by a great sense of unexpected peace. Still giddy with the joy of family reunited, a scan this morning put an abrupt end to the celebration. We are awaiting a call from the local hospital. Kate, at 39 weeks and 3 days gestation, will be airlifted to Aberdeen for an induction. Baby is small...not just small, but tiny. Only the Lord knows what lies ahead. He knows. He is good. I take comfort in the words of the most recent song He gave me:
I will praise You in the morning
And when the evening comes
Your faithfulness rises in the darkest night
Your glory before the dawn
I will sing of Your salvation
Though the waves come crashing in
Deep calls to deep as I look to You
Lord, settle the tempest within
Morning Star, we wait for You
Shining Hope
Your love will carry us through
And when the night is over
We will see You face to face
Transformed as we behold You
By the power of Your grace
Morning Star, we wait for You
Shining Hope
Your love will carry us through!
And when the evening comes
Your faithfulness rises in the darkest night
Your glory before the dawn
I will sing of Your salvation
Though the waves come crashing in
Deep calls to deep as I look to You
Lord, settle the tempest within
Morning Star, we wait for You
Shining Hope
Your love will carry us through
And when the night is over
We will see You face to face
Transformed as we behold You
By the power of Your grace
Morning Star, we wait for You
Shining Hope
Your love will carry us through!
Soli Deo Gloria!
